Weather Synopsis for Saturday night through Saturday
The Pacific Northwest remains between an offshore high pressure and a broad trough east of the Rockies, providing N or NNW flow and dry conditions for much of the upcoming week. The offshore ridge amplifies through Monday and gradually progresses toward the coastline, resulting in a warming trend throughout the forecast period.
With the exit of Saturday's weak disturbance, the drying trend should gradually erode the stratus deck lingering in the southern parts of the forecast area Sunday night. Most locations should experience freezing levels dropping to around 3500-5000 ft overnight, but with clear skies and light winds, a very shallow inversion will bring below-freezing temperatures to valley locations.
The inversion should mix out with sunshine early on Sunday, bringing a mostly sunny day with scattered clouds developing late in the day. Temperatures should be warmer than Saturday, with freezing levels topping out in the 5500-6000 ft range.
Sunday night may be partly cloudy, with a weak and dry disturbance possibly brushing the area.
Monday should be sunny with temperatures continuing to climb and freezing levels in the 6000-7000 ft range.

Extended Weather Synopsis for Saturday night through Saturday
The warming trend continues under the increasing influence of high pressure with clear/sunny skies Monday night into Tuesday with weak systems struggling to erode the dominance of the offshore ridge. Freezing levels may get up to 7000 ft in the north and 10000 ft or so in the south on Tuesday. Models still disagree about the potential for a slightly more pronounced weak disturbance bringing in some clouds and light showers either Tuesday night or Wednesday, but there's a good chance the high pressure will continue to maintain its influence over the region.
