Guided Catski Trip

Weather: Moderate to occ Heavy Snow, Moderate variable wind primarily westerly

Snowpack: W- NW Aspects 4500' HS 145-155cm Profile and Tests done here. 5400' HS 220- 250cm Many Tilt Test Easy results in storm layers 10 to 30 cm down depending on accumulation. Q2 RP CTH Q2 RP down 40cm just above 12/15 mf crust ECTN No Test results yet on a thin Christmas mf crust/ decomposing SH combo down 15-35cm Ski Tests on small convexities and isolated steep terrain produced no cracking or whumphing but did show Dry/loose potential.

Area Description: West thru North Aspects 4000'-5400' elevation near Windy Mountain

Avalanches: Ski cut produced touchy, moderate speed R1, D2 Dry Loose Avalanche running 1/4-1/3 path.
