Main open flat area at 4200ft.

Jan. 27, 2018, 4 p.m. PST

Weather: Heavy snowfall, winds began picking up at 11:30 and became strong at 1:30pm. Temperatures began warming up with the increase in winds.

Snowpack: Average HS 275cm. 115cm of recent snow above the 1/17 rain crust. Surface became moist especially below 4,000ft in the afternoon. Cold, dry, fist hard snow underneath a 4F slab that was 30cm thick. CT 7 SP down 30cm on this layer on a NW aspect at 4200ft.

Area Description: Yodelin

Avalanches: After 11:30am we noticed a natural D2 soft slab with a crown of approximately 30cm deep x 80m wide had recently ran. This happened on a feature starting at 4600ft on a NW aspect.
