Weather Synopsis for Tuesday night through Thursday
Weak convergence combined with moderate onshore flow at the surface continues to produce scattered light showers along the west slopes of the Cascades and Mt. Hood this afternoon. Scattered showers will taper down quickly overnight.
We should be in for a fine spring day on Wednesday with mostly sunny skies expected in all areas by mid-day. Westerly alpine winds that have been in the moderate range should decrease on Wednesday. Through the next few days, Mt. Hood will be markedly warmer than areas further north.
The dry weather will continue on Thursday as a shortwave upper level trough approaching from the west spreads some high clouds over the region, primarily for the Olympics and north Cascades. Freezing levels/temperatures should be a notch warmer on Thursday.

Extended Weather Synopsis for Thursday night through Thursday
The aforementioned shortwave trough will pass through Thursday night, bringing with it a shot of much cooler air and likely showers for mainly the north Cascades and to a lesser extent the central Cascades late Thursday night and Friday. Moderate NW flow aloft will renew moderate W-NW alpine winds Friday and Saturday. As an upper low meanders over southern B.C. on Saturday, showers are most likely to pop up over the north Cascasdes.
