Weather Synopsis for Thursday & Friday

Strong southwesterly flow and a very warm, moisture-laiden airmass of tropical origin has been with us for the past several days causing heavy rain. On Thursday, a front and weakening trough are crossing the Pacific Northwest, causing continued strong southwest flow and further moderate to heavy precipitation with snow levels starting to lower.

On Friday, a weak broad ridge builds over the western U.S. as the next front approaches over the Northwest coastal waters bringing initial moisture brushing the Olympics and northwest Cascades zones.
