Weather Synopsis for Monday & Saturday
An upper level ridge will park itself over the Baja Peninsula/Southern California and help direct a series of warm and wet weather systems into the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia over much of the week.
Moist SW flow will carry warm frontal precipitation over the region on Tuesday with precipitation rates and snow levels quickly ramping up during the day along with alpine winds. Moderate to locally heavy precipitation should continue Tuesday night. Moderate easterly flow through the Cascade Passes may initially allow for a brief period of snow Tuesday morning before quickly changing to rain. In the same vein, the NE Cascades including Washington Pass will be slower to warm Tuesday but rain should eventually push into the 6000-7000 ft range Tuesday night.

Extended Weather Synopsis for Saturday night through Saturday
Another wave of moisture in SW flow will traverse across the area on Wednesday before the main frontal band associated with the deep upper level trough offshore begins to sag SE across the Cascades Wednesday night.
Strong westerly flow and the trailing upper level trough will keep the weather active on Thanksgiving. Snow levels should drop uniformly across the PNW to 4000-5000 feet by Thursday afternoon as cooler air moves into the region. Unfortunately the same upper level ridge will quickly rebuild in place Friday, likely setting the stage for milder moist SW flow to return for the first half of the weekend.
Extended Weather
Olympics, Washington Cascades and Mt. Hood Area
Cloudy with periods of light to moderate rain and snow becoming heavier overnight. Mild. Windy in the alpine.
Stormy Thursday morning then light to occasionally moderate rain and snow showers. Slow cooling trend during the day. Breezy.
Cloudy with periods of light rain and snow.
