Up the phantom slide path until skinning became difficult, then booting. Out the exit gully to the phantom again.
Dec. 31, 2017, 1 p.m. PST
Snowpack: Dust on mostly supportive (booting) rain crust. About 3-5" of powder in wind-protected areas. Snow was okay for booting in phantom and exit gully but firm. Slot entrance pitch was very icy. This and the other crusts which are widespread present a danger of out of control falls on foot or on skis.
