Hart’s pass road to Hart’s Campground/Hart’s guard station. Conditions were too unstable and visibility was poor to wander far from the trail.

Dec. 29, 2017, 1:45 p.m. PST

Weather: Snowing hard 1/8 mike visibility 25-28 degrees

Snowpack: Soft

Area Description: Hart’s pass guard station/deadhorse pass

Avalanches: Had Deadhorse pass slide up on us today. Clear in the morning. Came back and a slide had Closed the trail until we shoveled it out. About 10’ tall column of snow over the road. Also near Harts Guard Station I had a hill Fracture multiple times in 36” of fresh snow. I’m no expert. But thought I would send in my observation. Very unstable today.
