Touring up from Fryingpan Creek to the toe of the Fryingpan Glacier.

May 16, 2015, 2:20 p.m. PST

Weather: Sky ranged from Broken in the AM (8:00) to Few by 14:00. No precip, no wind below ridge line, moderate winds on ridge top.

Snowpack: Wet meltforms with boot-deep pen. No liquid water observed running in the snowpack.

Area Description: Numerous moderate-angle slopes at 6000' ~ 7000+' on the east shoulder of Mt. Rainier.

Avalanches: Numerous loose wet slides observable at a variety of aspects. Skiing moderately steep slopes resulted in several shallow, slow moving loose wet slides.
