SW slope

Dec. 21, 2017, 2 p.m. PST

Weather: Mostly sunny, windy up high coming out of the west.

Snowpack: Mostly right side up, more consolidated than Tuesday but still with ~20-30cm ski penetration and not easy trail breaking. Thin sun crust on south facing slopes. Isolated wind crust and wind slab.

Area Description: Lichtenberg Mountain

Avalanches: Nothing big or significant, but we did trigger small wind slabs when we skied across them. On this particular slope, the wind slabs were isolated and very small, but still reactive with decent run.
