Spire Gulch to Blue Pk. cornice ridge top and return. 5200'-7700'

Weather: 60s + , lt. wind from west . Mostly cloudy with sun breaks .

Snowpack: 3-4" soft corn rounds , 15" dia. X 3"+ deep sun cups . About 3-5' average snow depth , to less than 1' deep x 6' wide in upper col. Many hidden rock hollow void traps , some 4' deep to collapse into . Be very careful glissading ! Snow coverage entire rt. but may be dirt patches by now. Able to skin with harscheisen all the way , including through collapsed cornice blocks to ridge. Resident goat met us at the top and stayed very close . Algae bloom in progress .

Avalanches: Frequent small rock fall throughout the day .
