Whistler basin ( Sound Of Music ) area 4800 - 7400 ' S. X SE. and SW. aspects.

Weather: Partly sunny . 50s. temp. Lt. wind.

Snowpack: 1/4" wet lightly glazed corn rounds on 1" humid reduced storm snow bonded to 1-3" warming corn on supportive frozen granular base. Stellar spring ski conditions . Lots of water running , creek crossings and snow bridges collapsing fast . Cornices are cracking open on back sides and primed for release ! Blue Pk. cornice is falling apart in lg. blocks .

Area Description: Wa. pass S.R. 20 N.C.H. corridor

Avalanches: Cornice fall , ice fall , and accompanying debris and recruited snow ran in S. feeder couloir to Climbers couloir on E. face Whistler Mtn. to valley floor. All other steep ravines and faces exhibit same behavior and evidence with the sun warmed aspects being the most active .
