N./N.W. facing aspect , 5400-7400

March 28, 2017, 3:33 p.m. PST

Weather: Snowing , 15 mph. s.w. wind colliding with easterly flow at pass level, warming to near freezing throughout the day .

Snowpack: Wind affected storm snow 8-12" over firm crust . Slab close to ridgelines in lee on steeper slopes . 10'-11' snow depth on the Wa. Pass D.O.T. stick.

Area Description: Washington Pass Arena

Avalanches: Ski triggered 10" slabs on E.aspect on 40+ deg. lee slopes. 30' ish wide running 30' and settling , on rollover pillow type terrain . Terrain farther from wind affect was unreactive . Delancy Ridge had one very recent lg. event in a gully close to the W. boundary and Needles .
