March 18, 2017, 8 p.m. PST

Weather: A bit of everything: graupel, snow, sun, clouds, wind, temps cold to mild.

Snowpack: New snow cover varied from 1" to 5-6" depending on location. New snow wet and heavy. Consolidated snowpack underneath very supportive. Lots of snow blowing around, the tracks we created on our way out were almost completely covered in places on the way back. Giant cornices visible on the N/NE sides of the ridge.

Area Description: Hurricane Ridge

Avalanches: None seen. Some loose wet sluff material present on SSW-facing slope at base of Steeple Rock
