S. facing , 5400'-7000' Strenuous and demanding skiing .

March 16, 2017, 3:33 p.m. PST

Weather: Sunny ,occasional shade storms , S.W. wind 5-10mph. mid 20s in shade , warm in sun exposed .

Snowpack: Shaded areas dust on 2cm. crust over 13cm. wet rounded loose granulated over humid stellars . Sun exposed , fresh wet trace over soft disintegrated crust over rounds over stellars. Ski pen .20 cm. in sun. Wet exposures refreezing in afternoon shade .

Area Description: Wa. Pass. Arena

Avalanches: All red zones from Cuthroat 1 to Libertybell 4 except for Spire Gulch have run , crossing hwy 20 . Deposition 15' to 30' Libertybell chutes ran across upper and lower hairpin road crossing. S. facing slopes show glide cracking and rollover slab releases on unanchored rock exposures. Entire snowpack runneled like elephant skin .
