March 4, 2017, noon PST
Weather: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy; few scattered flakes late in the day.
Snowpack: 30-50 cm new overnight snow. Right side up and very stable. Even though skiing wasn't as good on S aspects in the sun, the snow stayed put underfoot.
Area Description: Union Gap
Avalanches: From US2 after 16:00 we noticed 2-3 instances of very small, isolated, shallow sluffs initiated by tree or rock point releases in the sun. Even 10+ snowmobiles playing above Smith Brook hadn't kicked off anything.
