Did laps dropping down to Swift Creek, then skinned up to Artist's point and dropped down near 10 minute trees

March 4, 2017, 8:30 p.m. PST

Weather: OVC-X, Moderate-Light Winds

Snowpack: New snow appeared right side up in a pit. Test results were CTM Q2 PC@30cm down, and a ECTX. Obviously though other things were happening deeper in the snowpack based on other avalanche reports. Pit dug on NE aspect @5,000'.

Area Description: Mount Baker Backcountry

Avalanches: Viewed multiple recent D2 avalanches on Mount Herman South Side, some with what appeared to be quite deep crowns from a distance. Talked to one party who said one avalanche was remotely triggered and involved a partial and full burial.
