Followed route using a combination of logging roads and cross country. Gained ridge then proceeded to summit

Jan. 29, 2017, 7:30 p.m. PST

Weather: Foggy below 4000 ft. Sunny above. Clouds moved in around 12:30 and wind really picked up from the west as predicted. No precip

Snowpack: Super variable. North and some shaded aspects held really nice powder. Other-wise it was crust city, suncrust, wind crust, freezing fog crust. All with variable strengths. Did some hand shear tests on the way up and kicked at a couple kick turns. Nothing moved. Did notice a couple pinwheels low but they were older.

Area Description: Skied in the Salmon la Sac area on the east side of Lake Cle Elum.
