East Slopes North - Canadian Border to Lake Chelan

Weather: Sunny , cloud breaks , 25deg.

Snowpack: Sun affected on S aspects . Powder on protected N. aspects . Wind affected on or near ridges. Extensive XL tree bomb activity. Some 6' craters 2-3' deep. Danger ! Deeeep tree wells !

Area Description: Driveway Butte Hwy.20 WA. South aspect

Avalanches: Multiple point releases from S. face ridge top , to the ground , running hundreds of yards. As well as a release to the ground on s. face road cut 1/2 mi. west of Early Winters reaching the rd. Also a 3' + crown release on a popular N. aspect run. Off hwy. 20 . Hopefully witnesses will file a detailed account. These slides appear to have occurred about on 1/23
