Skied south facing bowl in the vicinity of the summer trail to lake Ann.

Jan. 21, 2017, 4 p.m. PST

Weather: Cloudy with light snow in the am, clearing to mostly sunny around noon. Clouds rolled in again around 3 pm.

Snowpack: Wind slabs present on south aspects. North aspects were wind scoured. Many cornices on ridges in the vicinity of lake Ann.

Area Description: Skied from heather meadows to the ridge above and to the west of lake Ann.

Avalanches: Several from the last storm cycle before the most recent storm snow. Some natural avalanches since the most recent storm snow, slabs with crowns only a couple inches.
