Comments: Toured yodelin. Dug 120 cm snow pit at 4600. Immediately found ice layer (IFil) @ 40cm. Deep tap test show layers starting to bond. DTH on N aspect. Snow below the ice form was very stable and strong. 20-40 cm new snow above IFil. Sky was overcast during the test and started to show signs of clearing around noon. Our extended column test was negative, ECTX. Overall good skiing. We used caution to stay off of south facing slopes. Visibility at the peak was 200 M. Heard others at skyline ridge was more in the DTM/DTE range. Confirmed ECTPV.
