Snowpack: 80 cm total depth, surface hoar and 3-4 cm of storm snow on a thin, subtle melt crust capped 75-cm of right side up snow (mostly rounded forms, fist down to 1-finger). Crust was thin and could be missed in places. At the bottom of pits, cavity hoar around buried rocks and vegetation. ECTX. Biggest hazards are shallow snow. Plenty of weak snow on the top/bottom of the pit next time it snows or blows.
