Weather: Clear, calm wind, 28F @ 6000ft

Snowpack: Below treeline: dusting of snow overlying 5mm non-supportive rain crust overlying dry, loose, F-hardness snow. Ski penetration 1-2cm. Above treeline: exposed supportive "bomber", smooth rain crust. "Crust of fear"... smooth future avalanche bed. Exposed rain crust seen up to 8,000ft. Ski penetration zero above tree line, pole spike penetration minimal. At treeline: some localized, reactive wind slabs (observed up to 1ft), reactive to ski cuts, overlying rain crust.

Avalanches: None observed, no debris seen.
