Skinned up from Stevens Pass to top of Skyline and descended low angle meadows back to Pass.

Dec. 11, 2016, 7 p.m. PST

Weather: Sky: Overcast Wind: C-L from West Precip: s-1 to s-2 through day

Snowpack: Rightside up. 195 HS at 5100'. Upper snowpack is a mix of facets and decomposing fragments. No SH observed. Cornices near windloads on S facing slopes near 4600' feet were touchy. CT tests were moderate to easy in upper snow pack, RP and BRK. ECT P 17 over two steps with little energy. See photos for pit and ECT results. Hazard was Considerable at all aspects and elevations for winslabs and storm slabs. High hazard was not observed close to Pass summit where SH was not likely due to consistent winds during the last storm cycle.

Area Description: AIARE Level 1 with the Northwest Mountain School. Skyline Ridge.
