Snoqualmie Pass

Weather: Sunny/broken clouds in the morning, light snow after noon increasing to heavy throughout the afternoon.

Snowpack: Storm snow from Friday night's storm had formed a cohesive slab about 5 inches deep. New snow falling this afternoon was heavier than the snow deposited by the storm Friday night. A rain crust exists about 2 ft below the surface of the snow.

Area Description: Skied several runs in the Hyak ski area, which is still not open for the season.

Avalanches: None seen.
