PCT to ski NE facing bowl south of Naches Peak proper

Nov. 22, 2016, 1 p.m. PST

Weather: Overcast with very light snow, cloud ceilings lowered below the peaks by early afternoon.

Snowpack: HS 69 cm at 5600 ft. 25 cm of increasingly dense snow, 1F to 4F, over a rain crust and melt forms/crusts from previous warm-ups below to ground. Snow skied surprisingly well given the shallow snowpack. Rocks and trees were manageable and the snowpack dropped off quickly below 5000'.
