March 29, 2016, 8:15 a.m. PST

Weather: Clear, with 30 mph winds from the NE gusting 45. Large lenticular on Hood's top.

Snowpack: Hard sastrugi, scoured ice, and pencil hard wind slab. Wind effect is present on all aspects, with zero soft snow anywhere. The E-facing pitch into white river was pencil hard slab over 4f slab. Overall density is inverted in top 4ft of the pack, but the slab is super hard and there's not really a weak layer.

Area Description: White River Canyon, E aspect, 6000'

Avalanches: Saw the slide posted yesterday. In context, it's pretty inconsequential.
