Recreational Observation

Took road for most of the route up then up to the ridge between Arrowhead & Point 5909. Descent via main cirque then linked the clear cuts.

Feb. 27, 2016, 3 p.m. PST

Weather: Cloudy, light rain, some sun breaks, snowing up on the ridge. A little bit of everything.

Snowpack: Skied relatively well, if heavy at the top. Really easy to get snow moving as wet/loose type hissers. Probably couldn't bury someone but definitely could have put you in a terrain trap at the wrong place. Knocked off some big pinwheels too, some of which entrained lots of snow. Firmer in the tree bands but still not terrible skiing. Bottom of route out firmer but skied nicely.
