Stevens Pass

Feb. 9, 2016, noon PST

Weather: Clear and sunny. Local temps in shady basins staying cool with light east flow.

Snowpack: Shady open areas had some small SH often with a temperature crust below. Flat areas had thin temp/sun crust. Lots of warming of solar aspects. Overnight expecting a strengthening crust with radiative re-freeze. Upper pack had ~80cm of PP/DF on top of 1/29 rain crust.

Area Description: Stevens Pass area including Christmas Bowl

Avalanches: Isolated loose wet to D2 off big south faces.
