Golden Gate, Skyline Trail

Weather: Clear, sunny, warm.

Snowpack: Near treeline (6000-6500) by noon the top 5-10cm of snowpack was significantly affected by the warming and sunshine. Widespread snowballs all day, and active pinwheels by end of day.

Area Description: Mt. Rainier, above Paradise

Avalanches: Saw evidence of high alpine point releases (~8000) by mid morning. Watched a large avalanche below Camp Muir at 2pm.
