Snowpack: 6" - 8" unconsolidated storm snow on top of the late January rain crust. Some whomping, but no cracking or natural activity.

Area Description: Morse Creek basin below 3-Way Peak, NE of Sourdough Gap

Avalanches: Finally triggered a 30 meter wide, 6" crown slide of unconsolidated storm snow about 20 meters below us on a convex roll as we were about to turn NW to gain the ridge above Silver Basin. The slide went to the valley floor.
