Recreational Observation

Skied the Slot via standard route, out Phantom trees

Jan. 11, 2019, 7:04 p.m. PST

Weather: Gradual clearing throughout the day, moderate and gusty breeze NTL. Warming not a factor.

Snowpack: Heinous trap crust on S aspects, all elevations, producing horrifying skiing. Sheltered N aspects skied much better but wind effect was universal.

Area Description: Mt. Snoqualmie

Avalanches: None observed besides remnant loose wet debris from previous day. Dropped cornice at Slot exit produced no results. Small sloughs in the slot but zero reactivity even in wind-loaded and convex roll at the top.
