East Slopes Central - Lake Chelan to South of I-90

Jan. 9, 2019, 1 p.m. PST

Weather: Sky obscured, snowing, wind WSW ~25 G 30 in exposed areas. Temp. below freezing to around 5000 rain below.

Snowpack: Heavy consolidated snow, some evidence of wind slab, but not reactive. The 1/3-4 rain crust was noticeable in some areas(and supportive) but buried in wind deposit zones. Skied slopes =35 with no sign of weakness , new snow seemed well bonded. Elevation 4570 to 6500.
