Wonderland trail from Longmire to Narada, Paradise valley up to visitors center, standard route up to Glacier Vista and test pit location. Skied back to visitors center and across Paradise valley to Mazama ridge. Valley road back to Narada then wonderland back to Longmire.

Weather: High clouds with good visibility and little wind all morning with increasing SSW winds to LT and some snow drifting while digging a test pit. -2°C air temp.

Snowpack: Evidence of wind scouring/transport. At pit location 15cm of 1F over a stout 3cm two layer crust. In nearby locations, scoured to crust layer. -5°c surface temp. Numerous crusts present from 15 to 44cm deep interspersed with P, 1F and 4F layers. 44 to 57cm: 4F, 57 to 74cm: 1F, 74-100+cm: 4F MFcl. CTM2 SP Q1 on uppermost crust. CTH2 SC Q2 on a 1cm 4F layer between two crusts at 42cm.

Area Description: MRNP, Paradise, slope of small knoll just below Glacier Vista. Elevation: 6138', SSE aspect, 16-17° slope.
