Skinned up peagravel ridge and skied NE aspect above tree line bowl

Jan. 5, 2019, noon PST

Weather: Cloudy, light wind from west, temps cold

Snowpack: Thin <1mm knife ice crust on surface, 10 cm fresh snow (fist), 7cm rain crust above a mixture of well bonded wet snow and crusts. Ice crust slid off on isolation of column. CT17 Q2 on the new snow ice crust interface at 7cm. ECT propogated half way across column. Not enough snow to be a concern today but with loading that could change.

Area Description: Newton/Pea gravel ridge above tree line
