East Slopes South - South of I-90 to Columbia River

Weather: Partly sunny with little to no wind approx 28 degrees

Snowpack: 165 cm to 180 cm within pit, 18 cm of new snow on top of a very hard icy layer, then 35 cm layer below with a second ice layer. below this ice lay the snow felt very uniform all the way down to above ground level. Did a compression test on a 30 x 30 section and it failed on the 6th tap from the wrist. the ice layer it failed on was from the recent warming trend and rain on Saturday the 29th. it was approximately 3/4'' thick and hard to cut through
