Recreational Observation

Weather: CLR, -3, light wind, light transport.

Snowpack: HS 175. Recent surface hoar at 25 cm and 45cm down (food bar and chapstick) Not reactive in pits, but natural slides in and around the area seemed to have failed on these layers in last day or two.

Area Description: Nason Ridge to 6400'

Avalanches: We saw a vsible crown from an overnight slab avalanche a ridge away near Mt. Howard. Appeared D2, R1+. Big enough to see from miles away.
