Weather: Periods of light snow

Snowpack: Variable powder, wind blown and wind deposited powder, shallow storm slab. Lots of wind transported snow blowing off ridges, here there and everywhere and Don't forget the Spindrift falls. Drifts, cross loading. Drifting on hwy on the approach to the hairpin.

Area Description: Hwy 20 Silver Star just beyond Washington Pass. Thin raincrest with new snow accurately reported at Washington Pass

Avalanches: Wet slides from yesterday at several locations at the Cutthoat Avy paths mostly originating from Rock slabs that were cleaned off just above the road. On the approach to The Hairpin. Looking towards the West faces between Willow Creek and Kangaroo Ridge. Many of those steep gullies ran during and just after the latest snowfall. Observed a fresh debris pile R3.5 D3 that ran somewhere below point 8183 and in one Gully cleaning off each rock face step as the avalanche passed. Time of obs. 9:00 am.
