West Slopes South - South of I-90 to Columbia River

Weather: Overcast with limited visibility/flat light higher than 5500'; occasional flurries of small rounds around 15:30

Snowpack: Varied depths of consolidating powder (approx. 38 cm, F) moderately well bonding to previous rain crust (approx. 13 cm, 1F). Secondary layer of buried depth hoar significantly deteriorated (15 cm, F). Isolated Column Test = 26 CT, Q2 at 38cm. Important to note was that while shaping two separate columns, snowpack easily failed at 51cm, sliding the entire column at the

Area Description: 5100' north facing slope just below tree-line. 42-45* isolated slope at the top of two prominent drainages/avalanche paths
