Weather: High pressure and near freezing temps in morning with insolation effects, cooling with cloud cover by midday.

Snowpack: Two layers of concern found, a storm slab from recent snow over the weekend, and buried surface hoar above early Jan crust. - Storm slab from new 1/16-1/17 snow with slight insolation crust on surface, 30cm, easy CT7, Q2 resistant planar, ECTN. - Buried surface hoar above hard (P/K) crust, 60cm, moderate CT13, Q2 RP, ECTN. Non-standardized tests on extended column suggest some potential for propagation. 4mm intact buried surface hoar at WL.
