Skinned up the road to the top of Amabalis and skied down.

Dec. 20, 2015, 11 a.m. PST

Weather: Cloudy 8/8, intermittent precip, breezy at points, 26-28 degrees F.

Snowpack: 65+ cm of loose, unconsolidated snow on top of an obvious crust layer at 76cm. Deep snow on the road and even deeper turning off the road to reach the summit.

Avalanches: Later in the day, noticed some small (R1 D2) loose slab slides triggered by tree snowfall on 45+ degree slopes above the road.
