I saw many backcountry skiiers/travelers on the high ridges and steep slopes above the valley where the avalanche occurred. All of them appeared to be out of harm's way from this particular avalanche, and it wasn't clear whether it was human-triggered from my vantagepoint.

Weather: Cloudy with light to moderate snowshowers throughout the day.
Snowpack: Lots of fresh powder from the recent storms.
Area Description: The large valley directly east of My Baker Ski Area's Chairlift 8, on the northwest slopes of Mt Shuksan. This valley is directly adjacent to in-bounds ski area and should be a warning to those who enter the backcountry from the ski area.
Avalanches: I witnessed a large avalanche while travelling up Baker's C-8 Chair yesterday. It appeared to have started at a high elevation at the head of the valley, and progressed all the way down the valley's length. There didn't appear to be anyone in the path of this avalanche, but I spotted several backcountry travelers in the area on the far side of the valley's higher slopes.
