East Slopes Central - Lake Chelan to South of I-90

Weather: -6C, gale force W/NW winds, and moderate to heavy snow until noon above 5000'. Calm, light E wind, temperature rising to -4C and clearing into afternoon.

Snowpack: SS +/-25cm; variable wind effect, from loaded sastrugi to ice crust to low-density storm snow. Widespread cracking on steep and/or wind-affected slopes.

Area Description: Blewett Pass - Windy Knob - Wenatchee Mountains

Avalanches: R1D1.5 upon dropping into a convex roll around 5800'. Ski cut similar northerly feature and wind slab sheared cleanly into but didn't move too far (r1D1).
