Short tour up to Pan Face after work on NWAC Paradise precipitation gauge.

Weather: Clear - moderate east winds, gusty

Snowpack: East winds led to good transport of recent snow onto lee westerly slopes near and above treeline in the Paradise area Friday. Plenty of wind-scoured areas to the most recent rain crust above 6000 ft. 5 cm new snow above rain crust. HS 80-90 cm (~3 ft) @ 6000 ft in non-wind affected area.

Area Description: Paradise, MNRP

Avalanches: Another party observed isolated and shallow pockets of wind slab while touring at or above 7000 ft or above treeline.
