Dec. 22, 2014, noon PST

Weather: 28 degrees in shade Slope was sunny and wind affected

Snowpack: Blower powder in shaded trees little firmer on sunny slopes firm layer of snow 18-20 inches down

Area Description: South east aspect. Treed bowl with open patches. 35-40 degree slope

Avalanches: Avalanche triggered remotely. We noticed the slide on our second lap on a slope to the left of our lines in more sun and wind affected area. It broke and slid about 50ft before stopping in dense trees. Crown was around 18-20 inches. Even on the flat ridge above there were cracks in the snow all around.
