Jan. 10, 2018, 1:35 p.m. PST

Weather: Snowing, 6” new low density snow overnight atop heavier 8” or so from the day prior.

Area Description: Table Mountain/Bagley Lakes

Avalanches: Witnessed a human-triggered avalanche from another party of three while me and my partner were skinning out of Bagley Lakes. From my perspective... The first rider dropped into Martha’s Ladder near Table Mountain and on the second turn near a group of small trees on skiers right triggered and was caught in a loose dry avalanche measuring roughly 10-15 m wide and approx. 10cm deep at the crown, growing to maybe 20-25m wide in the debris field. The rider was at or just below the crown when the slide began, was caught and then slid about 100m down, remaining on the surface for the duration of the slide. Rider appeared to be buried about waist deep and easily self-rescued while companions descended a more conservative route back to the right, which already had 10 tracks on it.
