About the Friends
The Friends of the Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center (FOAC) was formed in 1998 as a coalition of individuals and groups working to support the Avalanche Center and to provide public education and awareness about avalanches and avalanche safety. Whether you use ski areas or the back-country as your playground, the work of the Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center (NWAC) is critical to your safety in the mountains. Similarly, your membership in the FOAC is critical to the continued success of NWAC. Please join us in helping the Avalanche Center. For a modest annual membership fee, fully tax-deductible, you can help to support the Avalanche Center, a remarkable organization. Please contribute your support today - just click the Join Friends of NWAC link at right.
FOAC is organized as a non-profit corporation in the state of Washington, with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Fed. Tax # 91- 1971688. Your membership and contributions are tax deductible.
